At TezBilling, we value the trust you place in us when sharing your personal and business data. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, store, process, transfer, and protect your information when you use our POS software, website, and related digital tools.

This document is published in compliance with:

• Section 43A of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (“IT Act”);
• Rule 4 of the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 (“SPDI Rules”);
• The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”);
• Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines for Payment Aggregators & Payment Gateways.

2. Information We Collect

We collect minimal information necessary to deliver high-speed billing and support:

• Account & Registration Details: Full Name, Business/Shop Name, Mobile/WhatsApp Number, Email Address, Business Address, City, State, PIN Code.
• Tax & Billing Details: GSTIN (Goods and Services Tax Identification Number), PAN (Permanent Account Number) for generating legal B2B tax invoices.
• POS Store Operations Data: Product catalog, pricing, SKU barcodes, inventory counts, and transaction ledger records for cloud synchronization.
• Hardware & Diagnostics Data: Connected thermal printer model, barcode scanner type, OS version, application crash reports for remote technical support.

3. Payment Information & Security

All online payments for TezBilling licenses are processed through PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment gateways, specifically Cashfree Payments India Private Limited and Razorpay Software Private Limited.

4. Offline Data Architecture & Cloud Backup

TezBilling operates on an Offline-First architecture. Your daily sales receipts, customer records, and bills are saved locally on your computer device. When an internet connection is detected, an encrypted hash backup is synchronized to our secure AWS Mumbai (India) data centers using AES-256 encryption. We never sell, rent, or lease your store's customer lists or sales data to any third party or competitor.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses functional and security cookies to authenticate sessions, secure forms against CSRF attacks, and evaluate site traffic via anonymized telemetry. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though certain website functions (such as the interactive checkout portal) may not operate as intended.

6. Data Retention and Rights

You retain ownership of your store data. Under the DPDP Act 2023, you have the right to request access, rectification, or complete deletion of your personal account data upon license termination, subject to statutory GST record-keeping obligations under Indian law (which mandate retention of financial transaction books for up to 72 months).
